Year 1 - Tangible Foundations (Ages 4–5)
Screen-light coding, LEGO® robotics, circuits and real engineering. Designed for joyful first learners.
Oct 18th, 2025 - Jun 20th, 2026
Year 1 is where 4–5-year-olds become confident first makers by moving through a gentle STEM lifecycle: Explore, Imagine, Plan, Build, Test, Improve and Share.
Across the year, kids practice computational thinking in age-appropriate ways, algorithms (step-by-step plans), loops (repeat patterns), simple when/then rules, and debugging. They also experience engineering design thinking as they compare wheels, gears, ramps, and supports, then refine their builds based on what happened. The result is a fun, screen-light after-school coding and robotics program in Toronto that builds real problem-solving skills and a resilient maker mindset, so by spring, your child can describe their plan, improve a design with feedback, and confidently share a small project.

Fall - Algorithm Express - Ages 4-5
Plan steps. Then go.
Oct 18th - Dec 20th, 2025
Algorithm Express is a joyful on-ramp to coding for pre-readers. Children plan short, step-by-step routes, practice left/right turns, and discover loops, logic, and decision-making in a playful, screen-light setting. Each class blends hands-on LEGO® builds, friendly robots, and small circuits so kids can see their ideas move and light up.
It’s the perfect after-school coding and robotics program for kids ages 4–5: small groups, two instructors, and gentle challenges that build confidence, language (sequencing words), and early math (counting, patterns).
By the end of the term, your child will plan and run a short algorithm, use a simple loop, fix one mistake, and explain what changed, skills that transfer to everyday problem-solving.

Winter - Logic in Motion - Ages 4-5
When this… then that.
Jan 3rd - Mar 14th, 2026
Logic in Motion turns rules into real-world behaviour kids can see. Learners create when/then actions, use short waits to choreograph movement, and try early branching, all through playful LEGO® builds, robots, and age-safe circuits.
Families choose this after-school coding and robotics enrichment program because it strengthens cause-and-effect thinking without overwhelming screens. Children practice predicting outcomes, executing their plan, and explaining the results, thereby enhancing clear communication that boosts classroom readiness.
By term’s end, your child will apply a simple event rule, time actions reliably, and connect inputs → outputs (like a switch turning on a light).

Spring - Little Engineers - Ages 4-5
Make, test, improve.
Apr 11th - June 20th, 2026
Little Engineers concludes Year 1 with a focus on design, reuse, and presentation. Children save a small routine, connect simple LEGO® mechanisms into a working system, add a light or sound cue, and share a short project with pride.
It’s an ideal after-school coding and robotics enrichment program for families seeking both creativity and practical skills.
By the time for the annual STEM Festival showcase, your child will reuse a function, explain how their build works, and demonstrate calm problem-solving—a wonderful foundation for Year 2.
