SPARKLAB
Little Engineers
Little Engineers concludes Year 1 with a focus on design, reuse, and presentation. Children save a small routine, connect simple LEGO® mechanisms into a working system, add a light or sound cue, and share a short project with pride.
It’s an ideal after-school coding and robotics enrichment program for families seeking both creativity and practical skills.
By the time for the annual STEM Festival showcase, your child will reuse a function, explain how their build works, and demonstrate calm problem-solving—a wonderful foundation for Year 2.

FUN FACTOR
Pick your favourite mechanisms and connect them into a mini world
Add a light or chime to highlight a moment
Share your build and hear the applause
ENRICHMENT FACTOR
Design cycle habits: Plan, Build, Test & Improve
Abstraction & reuse
Communication: narrate choices and give kind feedback
LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Functions & reuse
Systems thinking: how parts work together
Debugging
Engineering: linkages/gear effects on motion
Circuits: add light/sound cues to enhance a design
