STEM DEEP - ENGINEERING ROBOTICS

SPACE Camp

Ages 4 - 7

SPACE Camp

LEGO ROBOTICS - STEM DEEP

Blast off into an exciting world of exploration and discovery! In SPACE Camp, your child becomes a space engineer and mission designer as they build, code, and test robots inspired by real-world space exploration.

Campers use LEGO SPIKE Essential kits and block-based coding to design robotic models that move, lift, push, and complete space-themed challenges. Through hands-on building and playful problem-solving, your child learns how robots help explore planets, transport supplies, and solve challenges on Mars and beyond.

This beginner-friendly robotics camp is designed especially for ages 5–7 and encourages curiosity, teamwork, and creative thinking.

Solution Topic

Through guided builds and imaginative challenges, your child explores how engineering and coding work together.

Your child will:

  • Learn how block-based coding controls motors and movement

  • Explore how machines are designed to solve real-world problems

  • Understand cause-and-effect through building and testing

  • Practice early engineering and problem-solving skills

  • Collaborate and communicate with teammates

Design, Experiment, Build

Campers will:

Learn the engineering design process

Learn the basics of Coding

Learn the basics of Robotics

Ideate, brainstorm, Engineer and build SPACE HABITAT and other Robotic extensions to solve pre-defined missions

Camp Learning Journey

Day 1: Welcome to Space - Build & Explore

Campers are introduced to space exploration and how robots help with missions. Your child builds their first robotic model and learns how motors create movement.

Day 2: Moving Through Space

Your child builds and codes robots that drive, lift, or rotate. Campers experiment with speed, direction, and movement to simulate space tasks.

Day 3: Space Challenges & Problem-Solving

Campers tackle mission-style challenges that require their robots to move objects, navigate paths, or complete tasks. They test, debug, and improve their designs.

Day 4: Design, Improve & Collaborate

Your child works with teammates to enhance their robot and improve performance. Campers learn that testing and redesign are key parts of engineering.

Day 5: Space Mission Showcase & Celebration

The final day features a Space Mission Showcase, where campers demonstrate their robots, explain how they solved challenges, and celebrate their accomplishments.

Why does this camp matter?

SPACE Camp helps young learners understand how robots are used to explore and solve problems in challenging environments. By building and coding robots inspired by space exploration, your child develops creativity, confidence, and real-world problem-solving skills that extend far beyond camp.

Blast off into space!

Campers become space engineers as they design and code robots inspired by rockets, rovers, and space missions. Each challenge brings them closer to understanding how robots help explore planets beyond Earth.
