PIONEERSLAB
Future Prototypes (Spring)
Integrate and Innovate
Future Prototypes is about integration — combining all the skills of the year into a first polished demo. Students learn how digital assets, coding structures, and user experience come together in a professional pipeline. They import their work into a real engine, use C# scripting to code interactions, and take their first step into AI by building a simple predictive model.
The emphasis is on prototyping, learning how to transform an idea into something testable, shareable, and future-ready. Teens also document their process, create trailers, and explain their decisions, developing communication and presentation skills alongside technical expertise.
By the end of Spring, they will have produced an integrated Unity demo and an AI experiment that demonstrates their readiness to enter specialization streams. This isn’t just a class project; it’s the first time they’ll feel like developers and innovators preparing for real careers.

What makes it fun
See their own assets running inside a Unity scene they coded.
Add interactions, menus, and polish to create a professional feel
Experiment with AI — their first taste of “teaching a computer.”
What makes it enriching
Connects multiple disciplines: coding, design, and AI, into one project
Prepares students for future pathways in game development or machine learning
Teaches communication by having students present trailers and write-ups
Learning outcomes

Export a complete engine-ready Asset Pack from Blender with correct naming conventions, topology, and PBR materials
Code Unity interactions in C# using components, events, and scene management systems
Develop a predictive AI model in Python, implementing a linear regression classifier and visualizing results with data plots
Gain exposure to basic machine learning terminology: datasets, training, testing, and loss/error analysis
Document and present projects with trailers, one-page technical breakdowns, and professional vocabulary
Term & EXPO
